How To Make Chapli Kebab At Home Step By Step Video

Ingredients:
400 gm minced chicken, all water squeezed out completely
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon Herbs
1 teaspoon or to taste chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon lime powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon ginger
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 finely chopped onion
1 medium tomato {remove all seeds}
Fresh chill to taste
1/2 cup mixed bell pepper
Enough cooking oil
If mince is watery add cornmeal, 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs {optional}

Method:
A} Mix everything together very well then refrigerate the mixture for half an hour
Note: If you leave them too long, the tomatoes will release water and make the kebabs soggy, so they will end up breaking in the oil.
B} Shape the mixture into equal patties flat and round and place them on a lined tray as seen in the video. Once all done put the tray in the freezer for half an hour so that they can firm up
C} Now fry them directly from the freezer; this helps to maintain their shape
D} Heat a small non-stick frying pan with a bit of oil as seen in the video
E} Fry them on high heat first then lower the heat to medium low and continue cooking the kebabs until the colour is nice and dark. Turn them over carefully and cook the other side. Try not to crowd the pan if you have made them small shaped, it will be easier to turn if you do 2-3 at once.
F} Remove and drain on kitchen towels.
G} Serve them while still warm / hot with tomatoes or salad of your choice.
